So
don't get all worked up that this is what everyone
at Adrean thinks...proceed!
Whitestown
survives scare!!!
What
are W'town's chances of surviving this District V
tournament? The Oneida County Champion showed yesterday
morning that they just may have no chance at all,
as they struggled to barely beat Lowville. If is wasn't
for some timely hitting W'town would be looking up
from the losers bracket.. An obviously overmatched
Lowville team nearly pulled the upset behind strong
starting pitching and W'town showed that they just
aren't the team they are supposed to be.
However,
Adrean Post came out last night and dominated the
defending District champion Brockville Bunnies. Once
again, Adrean showed how important veteran leadership
is, as Andy Wengert went out and dominated the Bunnie's
hitters and lead Adrean to a 7-2 victory. Another
battled tested veteran Matt Devins lead the offensive
charge by slamming two run scoring triples. Chris
Darling chipped in with two hits and an RBI as well.
As
I predicted yesterday, look out for Ilion. They came
out yesterday and demolished the obviously sinking
ship of Utica Post. What a difference a week makes
for Utica. Thought by the Jungle to be the hottest
team out there, they have shown just what they were
supposed to be this year, a second tier team. Coach
Eric Moreau has his team playing its best ball and
they should give all a run for their money. So now
Utica must try to rally the troops and rise from the
loser's bracket. Good Luck!
Oh by the way, if any one was watching, Watertown
beat Fabius.
Look
for Adrean to come out tonite a drop an early offensive
explosion. They should get a good outing from Jason
Barrone on the hill. And Matt Devins if you are listening,
AP needs you on the hill. You need to hop on the hill
in a crucial situation, like you have so many times
at AP and Notre Dame and stop the bleeding. It could
be the difference between advancing to Binghamton
and going to open gym at ND to work on your jump shot.
From
the Jungle I am out
