Matt Devins has clearly stood out from the crowd this
past year. Every college coach that has seen Matt play
shortstop has been overwhelmed with his great hands, range
and arm strength. Matt had 112 Assists showing exceptional
range day in day out. His play caused one upstate D1 coach
to say that Matt is the best shortstop he has seen in
this area over the last 10 years. Matt showed that his
hitting was no fluke either. He sustained a .450 to .490
BA all season long. He hit all types of pitching in every
critical hitting situation. He led the team in hitting
batting .444 with 64 hits and 42 RBI's. Matt is currently
entertaining various offers from quality academic and
quality baseball programs.
