Coaches Comments:
A.J. Oblak was the surprise rookie of the year. He can flat out hit! A.J.'s BA doesn't reflect his major contribution down the stretch and in the states. As a 15-year-old he has ice in his veins when he steps in the batters box. Any pitcher doesn't intimidate him regardless of his reputation. A>J needs to work more on his defense. His major fault is his lack of confidence in his arm accuracy. He has excellent hands at third base and finished the season in the outfield when Chris Darling was pitching or playing first base. The old adage, "when you hit, you play" fit A.J. perfectly.
