Josh White was the surprise of the year for AP. Playing at Westmoreland High, this 15 year old looks to have a real bright future as a pitcher and outfielder. It Josh a little bit to get used to the everyday intensity of playing top competition and facing challenging pitching day in and day out. In 24 games Josh hit .319 with 58 AB’s and just 8 K’s. His pitching performance was outstanding. He went 7-2 with a 3.60 ERA in 33.1 innings. He recorded 17 K’s with an outstanding fastball and a developing curve. Josh got to pitch in the State finals and should have the ability to capitalize on the experience and become more aggressive and challenge hitters with his fastball. Josh runs well and is learning the importance of playing the "whole" game all the time. He has excellent power at the plate and is a threat to break a game open even at this young age. Josh will be a very important part of Adrean next year and the years to come.
