Coaches Comments: Who wouldda thunk it? His first year on the mound for AP and Frank managed to squeek by with a meek 7-0 regular season record; got the win in the County finals and got the win in the District finals. To say that he was a pleasent surprise for the coaching staff would be the understatement of the year.
A catcher by preference, Frank asked for the ball on the mound in the beginning of the season so he would have a chance for a bigger role on the team. He not only got it, but he made the best of it. As a result, that role got him the chance to hit more frequently and the more at bats Frank got the better hitter he became.
Frank will be fighting for the catchers spot this year and will also be a starter on the mound as well. His work ethic, reminisent of his dad and uncle when they starred in high school and college, will keep him in the mix and gathering significant playing time for AP. Anyone that knows Frank can attest to the fact that no one will work harder to help the team and win a starting position. The heart of a lion handed down from father to son.
