Coaches Comments: Anthony will be a rookie that will be challenged daily to play at his best and with confidence pitch after pitch. We think Anthony was a real sleeper when we worked him out at the end of the summer. He swings an excellent bat, but does show signs of a youthful player on defense by being tentative in coming to the ball. He has a loose and strong arm across the field which will only get better with time.
He can drive the ball to the gaps and has decent speed which could very well earn him a starting position or at the very least a lot of quality playing time.
Another off-season worker, Anthony should battle for a starting position at the varsity level and that competition will help get him ready for AP this summer
